Terms & Conditions – Online Training Courses

These terms and conditions are applicable to any training purchased online via the Wenlock Health & Safety Ltd website and online shop, and differ from the terms of other training courses provided by the Company.

General

  1. Online training courses applicable to these terms and conditions are currently as follows:

  2. New customers must complete the registration process in full in order to book any courses. You will receive an email listing your login details and how to access your portal, which must then be used to manage your courses and delegates.
  3. Customers must complete the purchase process in full. A link for undertaking the course will be sent following payment.
  4. There is an advised minimum literacy and language level for all courses. Delegates must have a clear understanding of English and be able to read the presentation supplied to sit the course. 
  5. Delegate names are required when completing a course.
  6. Delegates are recommended to be over the age of 16 to undertake any course. 
  7. Delegates must sit the course in front of a suitable laptop, computer or tablet.
  8. Certificates will be available on your online portal following successful completion of the course, and can be accessed by WHS if necessary.

Payment

  1. All payments must be made online via PayPal and completed successfully in order to receive the course link
  2. All details must be thoroughly checked prior to submitting payment, see cancellation/refund terms below.
  3. Confirmation of receipt of payment will be issued via email, which contains detail of VAT for the purchase.
  4. One course must be purchased per delegate. Multiple delegates cannot sit one course. 
  5. Discount codes issued will be for a short time frame and cannot be used after that window – please ensure you use codes before their expiry date as no alternative will be issued.
  6. Details relating to each purchase will be retained by WHS securely in accordance with GDPR.

Cancellations, refunds and amendments

  1. Cancellations and refunds cannot be given.
  2. Please ensure you have checked through the details of your order prior to submitting payment information as no refunds can be given. 
  3. If an incorrect course has been purchased, you must revisit the website to re-order the correct course and no refund can be given for the course purchased in error.
  4. If an incorrect number of courses have been purchased, no refund can be given for additional courses not needed.
  5. If a delegate name is spelled incorrectly, no replacement certificate can be issued following completion of the course and issue of the certificate. A new course must be completed under the correct name. 
  6. If a delegate does not complete/pass a course, an additional course must be purchased and no refund will be given. 
  7. No details can be amended once payment has been processed. Any amendments to purchase details can be made by the user during the purchase process by clicking the ‘back’ button at any time.

Certification

  1. If a delegate does not pass the examination a certificate will not be awarded.
  2. Certificates can be accessed at any time for successfully completed courses via your online portal, details of which are emailed to the specified address after the registration process.
  3. Copies can be obtained on your online portal at any time. 

Refresher Courses

  1. There are no official refresher courses available. The original course should be completed again to act as a refresher course. 
  2. The course expiry date is listed on the certificate – these differ depending on the nature of the course and industry expectations/recognised training frequencies. 
  3. If no expiry date is listed, the recommended frequency for a refresher is three years.

Complaints and appeals

  1. All complaints can be made in writing to the Director – please call WHS to ask for a direct email address. A separate Complaints Policy which can be made available on request, however the main points are as follows.
  2. If the Company receives a complaint, we will address the issues raised with the appropriate party. We try and resolve problems quickly and informally.
  3. If you experience a problem with payment, we may need to refer you to PayPal, your credit card company or your bank. 
  4. If you experience problems with your online portal, please note our opening hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. However we will endeavour to assist you out of hours where possible. Please email becki@wenlockhs.co.uk if you need urgent assistance which cannot wait until the following working day and we will try our best to assist as soon as possible. We may need to refer you to the technical team, who’s working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.
